F Kevin Sundher (Chilliwack/Victoria, Brandon, 2007-12) has signed a contract for the rest of this season with Sparta Sarpsborg (Norway, GET-Ligaen) after being released by mutual agreement by Olomouc (Czech Republic, Extraliga) on Monday. He had five goals and four assists in 28 games with Olomouc.

The Prince George Cougars made a pair of roster moves on Monday, dropping F Ben Coppinger, 17, and waiving F Nic Holowko, 20. . . . Coppinger, from Winnipeg, is expected 
to join the MJHL’s Selkirk Steelers. In his first WHL season, he had four assists in 18 games with the Cougars. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Coppinger was a 10th-round selection by the Edmonton Oil Kings in the WHL’s 2015 bantam draft. . . . Holowko had a goal and four assists in 10 games with the Cougars. He began the season with Kamloops, recording three goals and an assist in seven games before leaving the Blazers. From Burnaby, B.C., he also has played with the Seattle Thunderbirds and Prince Albert Raiders. . . . Holowsko’s departure likely indicates that F Brogan O’Brien is ready to return to action. O’Brien, F Jared Bethune and F Aaron Boyd are the three 20s still on Prince George’s roster. O’Brien hasn’t played since Dec. 10.
The Regina Pats have dropped D Marco Creta, 17, from their roster. He is expected to join the MJHL’s Virden Oil Capitals. A list player from Oak Bluff, Man., Creta had a goal and four assists in five games with the Pats. . . . He played last season with the Oil Capitals, putting up two goals and 11 assists in 57 games. . . .
The Calgary Hitmen have returned D Luke Prokop, 15, and F Ryder Korczak, 15, to their midget teams. . . . Prokop, from Edmonton, had two assists in 14 games, all since Dec. 13, with the Hitmen as he was allowed to stay for more than five games due to an emergency exemption. A first-round pick in the WHL’s 2017 bantam draft, Prokop is back with the Northern Alberta X-Treme prep team of the CSSHL. . . . Korczak, also 15, is from Yorkton, Sask. He was pointless in three games with the Hitmen before being returned to the midget AAA Yorkton Maulers. The Hitmen selected him in the second round of the 2017 bantam draft.

At Everett, F Matt Fonteyne drew five assists to lead the Silvertips to a 6-5 victory over the Tri-City Americans. . . . Everett (28-16-2) has won five in a row and 18 of its past 21 games. It leads the U.S. Division by two points over Portland, which holds three games in 
hand. . . . Tri-City (22-16-5) has lost four straight and trails Portland by seven points. . . . Fonteyne tied a franchise record for assists in a game. F Peter Mueller did it first, on Nov. 25, 2006, when he was in on all his side’s goals in a 5-3 victory over visiting Tri-City. . . . F Garrett Pilon (22) broke a 4-4 tie, on a PP, at 16:43 of the third period, and F Riley Sutter (19) followed with an empty-netter at 19:09. . . . Sutter’s goal turned into the winner when Tri-City D Dylan Coghlan (13) scored, on a PP, with 15.7 seconds remaining. . . . The Silvertips had taken a 2-0 first-period lead on goals from F Connor Dewar, at 11:33, and F Sean Richards (17), at 15:47. . . .
